Terms of Service
Effective September 20, 2026
In plain words: Marts & Crafts helps makers find fairs, plan a season, and be found. You keep what you make and post. We don’t sell your work, take a cut, or handle your sales. Be honest, be decent to other makers, and don’t scrape the site. Membership and credits are paid features you can stop any time.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Marts & Crafts (“we”, “us”) runs the app and website at martsandcrafts.app (the “Service”). These Terms are an agreement between you and Marts & Crafts. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information and is part of these Terms.
2. Your account
You need to be at least 18 to hold an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility. Give us accurate information and keep it current. One person, one account, unless we agree otherwise.
3. What the Service is, and is not
The Service finds craft fairs, markets and festivals, helps you plan and record your season, and gives you a public page, a contact card and a QR code so people can find you. It is not a marketplace: we do not sell your pieces, process payments between you and buyers, take commission, or stand between you and anyone who buys from you. Any sale you make happens outside the Service, on your own terms.
Event information is gathered from organizers’ public pages, from makers who confirm details, and from what you add yourself. We work to keep it accurate and we show you where each fact came from, but organizers change dates, places and fees. Check with the organizer before you commit money or travel. Nothing on the Service is a guarantee that an event will run, that a fee is correct, or that you will sell anything.
4. What you post
Your pieces, photos, words, links, descriptions and comments stay yours. So that the Service can work, you give us a license to store, show and share them within the Service and on your public page, and to make copies needed to run it (such as resized images or a contact card). The license ends when you remove the content or close your account, except for copies that other people have already saved or that we keep for legal reasons.
Only post what you have the right to post. Don’t upload other people’s photos or work as your own, and don’t post anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone’s rights. We may remove content that breaks these rules and, for repeat or serious cases, close the account.
5. Your public page, card and QR code
When you make your page public, the name, shop name, photo, town, pieces, links and anything else you choose to show become visible to anyone with the link, including people who scan your QR code. Your phone number and email are shared only if you switch them on in your card settings. The app tells you exactly what a scan shares, and you can change it any time.
6. Community rules
Comments, likes, follows and attendance are for makers and the people who love their work. Be kind. No spam, no advertising other services, no harassment, no impersonating another maker or an organizer, and no false reports about an event. Confirm only event facts you have actually checked.
7. Membership, credits and payments
Some features are part of a paid membership or use credits: AI photo tools, boosting your shop, highlighting a piece, and a few others. Prices are shown in the app before you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card number.
- Membership renews automatically each period until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account; you keep membership until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Except where the law requires it, membership fees are not refunded for partial periods.
- Credits are a way to pay for features inside the Service. They have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and aren’t refundable once spent. Unspent purchased credits are refundable within 14 days of purchase if you ask us.
- Referral credits are granted when someone you referred becomes a paying member and stays one past the qualifying period. We may withhold or reverse referral credits earned through fake accounts or abuse.
We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days’ notice in the app or by email.
8. AI features
Some tools use artificial intelligence: reading a flyer, an event write-up or a sales sheet, cleaning a photo background, and suggesting details. The results are suggestions. Always check them before you rely on them, especially dates, places, fees and amounts. Content you send to these tools is processed by our AI provider for that request only, as described in the Privacy Policy, and is not used to train their models.
9. Don’t do this
- Copy, scrape or harvest the Service or other makers’ content by any automated means.
- Try to get around the membership, credit or referral rules.
- Interfere with the Service, probe it for weaknesses, or overload it.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited messages or to build lists of makers.
- Use another person’s account, or let someone use yours.
10. Ending things
You can close your account any time from Profile → Account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, with notice where reasonable. When an account closes, your public page comes down and your content is deleted as the Privacy Policy describes. Fees already paid are not refunded except as set out in section 7.
11. Our promises, and their limits
We work hard to keep the Service running and accurate, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every event listing is correct. To the fullest extent the law allows, Marts & Crafts is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost sales, travel costs, booth fees or other money spent in reliance on information in the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service grows. For changes that matter we’ll tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Using the Service after that means you accept the new Terms.
13. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we have a disagreement, please contact us first; most things can be sorted out with a conversation. Anything that can’t be goes to the state or federal courts in Pennsylvania.
